Sport União Sintrense was founded in 1911 in the heart of Sintra. For over a century, this club has competed through the Portuguese football pyramid, representing a city that the world knows but Portuguese football never fully claimed. In 2026, that changes.
Sintra has always had the identity. Now it has the institution to match it.
In January 2026, Blue Ocean Group acquired majority control and brought professional football operations to Sintrense for the first time.
Sport União Sintrense is founded in Sintra - one of Portugal's oldest clubs, born in one of Europe's most iconic cities.
Through decades of Portuguese history - political change, economic hardship, regional competition - Sintrense endured and remained rooted in its city.
